About Dr. Chris Gouveia

Dr. Chris Gouveia is a Chiropractic Physician who received his Bachelor of Science with Honors from the University of Guelph in Canada. He continued with his graduate studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was awarded the Academic Excellence award for graduating among the top of his class. Dr. Gouveia was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada the nation’s capital. Chris grew up an avid athlete with a passion for playing hockey and soccer at a competitive level in the National Capital Region. He also completed his first marathon by the age of 16.

Dr. Gouveia serves his community by promoting a healthy active lifestyle for all patients. He uses chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue manipulation, and corrective exercise prescriptions in all of his treatment plans to help patients recover from a wide variety of injuries and support healthy living. Through his passion for the outdoors, sports and helping others, Dr. Gouveia has made it his mission to help get people back on their feet and doing what they love. In treating Chris also uses The McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT) and is certified in the Motion Palpation Chiropractic technique. Chris’ philosophy of treatment is established from evidenced based chiropractic principles and he is an active member in the Forward Thinking Chiropractic Alliance. His pursuit for excellence in clinical care is supported by his continuous education of new techniques and treatments.
